Programme Objective

Training of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel capable of solving complex theoretical and applied problems in the field of software engineering, conducting original scientific research, presenting their results at the international level and introducing them into software systems.

Subjec t area

object: theoretical foundations, methods and technologies of software engineering; mathematical and software of automated and embedded systems; intelligent methods of information processing in conditions of uncertainty.

Features of the programme. The dissertation research is implemented within the framework of the scientific school «Fuzzy Nonlinear Dynamics» (244 publications, 68 in Scopus), founded by Professor Bychkov O.S. The program combines the educational component (the first 4 semesters) with mandatory research activities throughout the training.

Eligibility for employment

Graduates work in higher education institutions of Ukraine and abroad (teachers, researchers), in research units of IT companies (Senior/Lead Research Engineer), in start-ups and scientific and technical institutions. Some graduates receive post-doctoral positions at Erasmus+ partner universities and members of international consortia Horizon Europe, MSCA.

Academic mobility

Postgraduate students of the department have access to Erasmus+ scientific mobility programs lasting 3–6 months with partner universities: University of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic), Warsaw University of Technology, Agh Krakow (Poland), Berlin University of Technology, TU Dresden (Germany). Visegrad Fund, DAAD, Fulbright, MSCA Doctoral Networks are also available.
